You won’t find a more wonderful non-profit organization than the Food Bank of Delaware (FBD).

The FBD has served food-insecure Delawareans since 1981. The organization currently has a network of 536 hunger relief program partners serving children, adults, and seniors statewide.

I’ve been volunteering regularly at the food bank for about 20 years. Since I was elected, I’ve held FBD volunteer nights several times per year. It’s a time for district residents to get to know each other while doing great work for a great cause.

We do something different each time—sorting and grouping donated items, making school lunch backpacks for kids or meal boxes for seniors, packing boxes of non-perishable foods or fresh produce for community distribution, and more.
